Hi, I'm Ben. I'm an Integrative Psychotherapist.

I help adults understand and improve their mental health through written and face to face therapy.

You may be struggling with...

Experiences of anxiety, like a raised heart beat, or being unable to relax, switch off or sleep well.

Feeling low, depressed, or not able to experience the same joy in activities that used to be fun.

A sense of being 'always on', or 'I'm not good enough'.

The Benefits of Email Therapy

  • Rather than a regular time slot, write your emails at a time that suits you.

  • Gain knowledge and understanding about mental health, human nature and how to be well.

  • Discussing difficult topics through writing might be easier than talking.

  • Take as long as you need to articulate yourself and find the right words.

  • Assurance there's a professional there reading, responding and emphasising with your situation.

  • Email therapy is discrete and private, and can be kept a secret from those around you.

  • Access therapy from where ever you are, even in houses with no noise privacy.

What People are Saying

"Email counselling has been a great option for me as it gives me more time to think about the topics we have discussed each session. Ben is very insightful in his responses and his questions are very helpful when trying to figure out my own thoughts. I am very grateful for his help".

Anonymous Email Client

"Ben is one of the most talented counsellors that it has ever been my pleasure to train. He's show remarkable insight grounded in psychological theory and empirical research. Even more importantly, his empathy, kindness, and compassion mean that his clients feel understood and supported throughout their therapeutic journeys".

Professor. Fay Short, Bangor University

“I started my journey with Ben not completely understanding what I was trying to get to the bottom of, I knew I wasn't necessarily feeling emotionally well but knew it was multi-factorial. I spent nearly 6 months speaking with Ben weekly and I can honestly say it has changed my life. Ben allowed the sessions to fit with how I was feeling that week and structured his approach to the session accordingly. He listened and spoke in such a way that made me completely comfortable. Through Ben's kindness, openness and knowledge I was able to open up and subsequently discover sources and strategies to deal with and resolve my discontent”.

Geraint, NHS Strategy Manager

"I cannot say how highly I regard Ben’s work, he has been brilliant. He has listened, understood, and given me suggestions where needed. No amount of thanks or words will be enough to express the difference he has made to my life".

Fees for email therapy are simple. A 700-850 word email from the client and a reply from the therapist is one email exchange. An email exchange is the equivalent to one hour of live therapy.
I charge £50.00 per email exchange.
Email therapy is not appropriate for everybody. It is not a crisis service. If you are interested in getting started, fill in the form below with a brief description of why you would like email therapy.
